UGANDA TOURS
Have a wonderful and memorable time as you take part in this 3-day gorilla tour in Bwindi impenetrable national park. This park is known to be home to the rare and endangered mountain gorillas – known to be “the gentle giants.”
Taking part in a gorilla trekking adventure creates everlasting memories where you get a chance to spend one hour in the presence of these gorillas, though the overall experience can last for 7 hours.
You have different options after gorilla trekking, such as visiting the Batwa community or Lake Bunyonyi. Have a great time on the Uganda equator, a point to take photos and buy souvenirs.
Day1. Transfer to Bwindi National Park from Kampala/Entebbe
After pick-up from any agreed point in Entebbe/Kampala and transfer to Bwindi National Park. You will take a long drive which can last for about 8 hours with different stopovers like at the Uganda equator and Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara. Arrive and check in the booked lodge for dinner.
Day2. Gorilla trekking and optional activity
Wake up and enjoy breakfast which will be followed by a drive to the park headquarters for briefing. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and energy-giving snacks such as biscuits or crisps. The briefing is important since you get informed about the rules and regulations, trekking requirements, checking gorilla trekking permits, assigning the park guide and more.
Begin the search with the help of the park ranger ready to take you through the forest. While on the trail, you will have chances to meet animals like elephants, duikers, buffaloes, golden cats, bush pigs, giant forest hogs and birds like Handsome Francolin, Mountain Illadopsis, White starred robin, Augur Buzzard, Grey cuckoo shrike and more. Spending an hour in the presence of the gentle giants is rewarding since they are playing, feeding, searching for food and more.
After the experience, you are rewarded a certificate for trekking a certain gorilla family, and later on head to the lodge for lunch which will be followed by an optional activity of either a batwa community walk or visiting Lake Bunyonyi.
Day3. Head back to Kampala/Entebbe
Wake up, have breakfast in the morning and then hit the road to Kampala with a stopover at the equator line for lunch, experiments and souvenir buying. Proceed to the drop-off point to mark the end of the safari.
